The brand is bringing this unique device to the Indian market

The tablet with e-ink display works on a Linux-based OS which also supports apps for users.

Kindle pretty much brought the culture of e-ink displays but it isn’t the only product that makes use of the power-friendly panel. We have seen other brands use the technology for their devices and the latest is a tablet which supports a stylus and a keyboard stand as well.

The e-ink tablet from brand called ReMarkable has launched in India and it will be available later month. The device runs on a Linux-based platform which means you get app support and easy to sync with Windows, iOS and Android devices.

The ReMarkable tablet with e-ink display is priced at Rs 43,999 along with the stylus bundled in the box. You also get a 1-year trial of its Connect service which offers unlimited cloud storage, device protection and other offers.

So, what does the tablet exactly offer and how is it different from the regular tabs? The tablet has a 10.3-inch display that has an e-ink panel like the ones you see on the Kindle e-readers. Its purpose is not for watching videos or playing games, which explains the use of a dual-core chipset with 1GB RAM and just 8GB of onboard storage.

Running on a Linux-based OS gives the device the scope to work with this hardware. The stylus runs without a battery and you don’t need to pair it either. The tablet lets you connect via Wi-Fi and there is a USB-C port for charging the built-in 3,000mAh battery. The most useful feature is that you get a left-handed mode which is rare to find on most devices.
